IMS IGEMS CAD/ CAM

IGEMS provides you with a powerful easy to use CAD platform. The user interface and the action of commands are inspired by AutoCAD. This means that any user with experience from AutoCAD will need very little training on the CAD. With the CAD you can create and modify geometry from scratch. You can also import from DWG and DXF. With the module Data Exchange you can extend import of more file formats. The CAM module is the part of IGEMS were you actually create tool paths from parts ( shapes ). This could be anything from cutting through to marking or maybe changing quality and lead-in and lead outs. 2D CAM module is used for cutting 2 to 5 axis in flat material. Preparing parts can be done by using three different modes. Manual, single or auto. Manual cutting allows you to freely define your tool path and you have full control of every movement. Using single command you only need to select one contour at a time. The single command then calculates the tool path for this contour. With the auto command you select a set of parts, and the auto command then automatically calculates the tool path for all these parts. Both the single and automatic command is fully collision controlled. Advanced speed ramping formulas for AWJ cutting takes into account the current material and machine settings to calculate an optimal cutting path. Support for cost estimation, common cut line’s, bridge cutting, quality control and multiple tool heads, makes the 2D CAM option a very powerful tool for 2D cutting. IGEMS includes a flexible report system that allows the user to very easy customize his own reports according to his requirements.
